How to work out your Star Wars name.

The Urban myth machine has it that George Lucas uses a “formula” to create all of those strange sounding names you see in the Star Wars trilogy and the Phantom Menace (Jar Jar Binks, ObiWan, etc.).

To see what your Star Wars name might be according to the suggested “formula”,
follow the steps below….

Your Star Wars First Name:

1. Take the first 3 letters of your last name.
2. Add to that, the first 2 letters of your first name.

Your Star Wars Last Name:

1. Take the first 2 letters of your mother’s maiden name.
2. Add the first 3 letters of the name of the town in which you were born.

This is your Star Wars name!

So following that logic the person who invented Jar Jar’s last name was born somewhere beginning Nks…… interesting.
Personally I just think they make them up as they go along.

Answers on a Carpo Dots please….

Movie Ephemera 50 Shades of Grey

1. Movie Ephemera – Fifty Shades of Grey

As one journo said on BBC News recently ‘More M.& S than S.& M’. But hey you gotta start somewhere right? And as one online commentator said – 4 or 5 sex scenes and no comeface. Where was Jamie’s comeface? Really? No comeface. But I’m not gonna watch this movie to find out for myself. The previews looked tedious. This is really one for girl fantasists I think. And as the book sales and box office returns are showing, there appears to be no shortage of those.

Just the facts. Fifty Shades of Grey is an American erotic / romantic drama film directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson with a screenplay by Kelly Marcel. Based on British author E. L. James’ (No relation to PD James I hope) bestselling novel of the same name. The film stars Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele (Mills & Boon name), a college graduate who begins a sadomasochistic relationship with young business magnate Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan). The film was written following the huge success of the books selling over 100 million copies and being translated into 30 countries.

The film premier was at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival on February 11, 2015, and had a wide theatrical release on February 13, 2015, by Universal Pictures. It was an immediate box office success, earning more than $413 million. A sequel is planned for a 2016 release.

The Cast.
Dakota Johnson as Anastasia “Ana” Steele
Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey
Eloise Mumford as Katherine “Kate” Kavanagh, Anastasia’s best friend and roommate
Jennifer Ehle as Carla Wilks, Anastasia’s mother
Marcia Gay Harden as Grace Trevelyan Grey, Christian’s adoptive mother
Victor Rasuk as José Rodriguez, one of Anastasia’s close friends
Luke Grimes as Elliot Grey, Christian’s adopted brother
Rita Ora as Mia Grey, Christian’s adopted sister
Max Martini as Jason Taylor, Christian’s bodyguard and head of his security
Callum Keith Rennie as Raymond “Ray” Steele[14]
Andrew Airlie as Carrick Grey, Christian’s adoptive father
Dylan Neal as Bob Adams, Anastasia’s step-father
Anthony Konechny as Paul Clayton, the brother of the owner of Clayton’s Hardware Store
Emily Fonda as Martina
Rachel Skarsten as Andrea, Christian’s assistant

I recently wrote a book called ‘Fifty shades of Puce.’ But somehow the title just lacks a bit of punch……hmmm What about ‘Fifty shades of Magnolia? better? Wait, I got it. ‘Fifty shades of Taupe’ Brilliant.

Harness The Power of Your Habits

Willpower Is a Finite Resource

It’s taken me a long time to accept that – and sometimes I’m still not sure if I even do. It is difficult to fully accept that we our creatures of habit, that no matter how hard we just ‘give it the old college try’ to change things, that ingrained habits can – and usually do – thwart our best efforts.

I read a simple quote recently that really drove the point home – here it is in snazzy picture form:

Nerves that fire together, wire

Modern – heck not even that modern, science has know this stuff for close to a century – science has shown, beyond any shadow of a doubt that we are a product of our neural inputs and outputs. And, that when we combine certain actions repeatedly the nerves responsible for those actions become intertwined to the point that when we perform one action our brain is already prepared to carry out its complement.

This is why we do things we subconsciously know are contrary to our conscious goals: be the health and fitness related or otherwise. Changing habit is hard work: your brain expects one action to follow another. When we circumvent these patterns and deprive our brains of expected input, they get confused and resist the change.

However, changing habits is possible and the results from doing so our powerful. Here is a quick list of 27 simple habits that will change your life:
